Kamiar Rokni rose to fashion prominence nearly two decades ago. With friend and business partner, Maheen Ali, Kamiar launched Karma. Karma became one of the most prominent and sought after designer labels out of Pakistan. It helped to shed new light on traditional workmanship and elevated Kamiar as a visionary. As the creative director behind the label, Kamiar paved the way for his solo label, The House of Kamiar Rokni.

I’ve been a Kamiar fan since I first saw a runway show with my mother several years ago under the Karma label. He elevates tradition without losing the essence of a modern silhouette. Where many designers have been unable to breathe new light to traditional embellishments, Kamiar’s pieces make you want to celebrate tradition. A Kamiar Rokni ensemble would be perfect for a South Asian Mehendi, Gaya Holud, Pooja ceremony or Dholki.

Kamiar’s design aesthetic has been featured in Vogue and many other internationally acclaimed magazines. Below are pieces from a recent show.
